Brussels Griffon Characteristics
The Brussels Griffon, or Griffons for short, originated as hunting dogs and later became popular as house pets.
They are lovely, cheerful and affectionate dogs for the right person. They may be sensitive and moody and can be demanding of attention and if these needs can be met, they make a wonderful companion. They may also need additional time to house-train,
Griffons often get along well with other dogs and pets but may be irritable toward rowdy children. They may also bark at noises so are not always suitable for apartment living.
Despite their small size they are a hearty and active breed who enjoy a high level of activity. They also enjoy agility and other performance sports.
Brussels Griffon Major Health Concerns
While Brussels Griffons are generally a healthy breed, they can be prone to hip dysplasia, Patellar Luxation, and skin allergies.
