The Tests

We offer two levels of testing to suit your needs:

  1. Basic Test. What is specifically included?

Genetic Predisposition to Periodontitis: Discover your genetic predisposition to gum disease using simple buccal swabs. This test focuses on specific genetic markers associated with periodontitis.

For an example of report click here:

The genetic test, that must be performed only once since the genomic DNA does NOT change during life, can give scenarios of results between 0 and 5 depending on the severity of the genetic susceptibility to periodontal disease.

The IL-RN marker is also considered, which expresses an indication of the activity of the antagonist receptors of interleukin, whose positivity is frequently associated with the loss of the implant.

or :

Oral Microbiome Analysis: Get an overview of the top 5 bacteria in your mouth that can affect your oral health. Collecting the sample for this analysis requires the assistance of a dentist (they will use a pack of sterile paper cones provided in your kit).

For an example of report click here:

The test determines the quantity and prevalence (with respect to the total microbial load) of the 5 most pathogenic bacterial species present in periodontal pockets and allows planning the most suitable treatment for the patient, also with regard to any antimicrobial support therapy:

  • Aggregatibacter Actinomycetemcomitans
  • Tannerella Forsythia
  • Porphyromonas Gingivalis
  • Prevotella Intermedia
  • Treponema denticola

or:

Genetic Predisposition to Periodontitis & Oral Microbiome Analysis at the same time.

The price for the genetic predisposition to periodontitis test alone is $109, as is the price of the oral microbiome test alone.

The two tests can be purchased together at the price of $199.

It is important to remember that the oral microbiome analysis with the Basic Test requires a dentist to collect the sample, the genetic predisposition to periodontitis test can be done comfortably at home with the use of buccal swabs.

Results for both basic tests are available within 5-7 working days of samples being received by the laboratory.

  1. Advanced Test. What is included specifically?

– Current Risk Assessment for periodontitis and other diseases such as tooth decay, oral cancer, lung and pancreatic cancer.

and also:

Extensive Oral Microbiome Analysis: This test identifies a wider range of bacteria in your mouth, for a broader spectrum that can impact your oral and general health.

For an example of report click here:

The advanced test costs $239 and does not require the support of a dentist since the samples can be collected comfortably at home, through buccal swabs.

The results are available within 4-6 weeks from receipt of the samples in the laboratory.

 Gut Bacteria Test

Why Choosing the Basic or Advanced Test?

To assess your genetic risk for periodontal disease, the only option is the basic test, using buccal swabs.

To assess your risk for various diseases based on your oral bacteria at a particular time, the only option is advanced testing, using buccal swabs.

As for the oral microbiome analysis, we suggest the basic test only if you have a dentist to collect samples. If not, the advanced test is the best option also to know the various bacteria that influence your oral health.

Why Choosing Us?

Certified Lab Tests: The tests are conducted in certified laboratories using the most advanced techniques in genetic and microbiome analysis.

Easy and Non-Invasive Collection: Both tests use simple samples offering a stress-free experience, at home (Advanced Test) or with the support of an expert (Basic Test, for what concerns the oral microbiome analysis only).

Comprehensive Reports: Receive clear and detailed results, including personalized advice to improve and maintain your oral health.
